This Privacy Policy explains how Health Mind AI ("we", "our", "the App") collects, uses, stores and protects your personal and health information when you use our mobile application. By using the App you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Full name, email address, phone number (used for login and profile)
- Profile photo (optional)
- Age, gender, blood group (entered in Medical ID)
Health Information
- Medical reports and prescriptions you scan or upload
- AI-generated analysis of those reports
- Treatment plans and medicine reminders you create
- Lab test bookings and doctor appointment history
- Health records you manually save to the vault
Location Information
- Approximate or precise GPS location — used only to show nearby doctors and labs
- Location is never stored on our servers; it is used in-session only
Device & Usage Information
- Device type, OS version, app version
- Push notification token (for appointment and reminder alerts)
- Crash reports and error logs (anonymous)
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide core features — scan and analyse medical reports, book appointments, set medicine reminders
- AI analysis — your report images are sent to Google Gemini AI for analysis; images are not permanently stored by Google
- Appointment management — share your name and phone number with the doctor/lab you book with
- Push notifications — appointment confirmations, medicine reminders, lab result alerts
- Improve the App — anonymous usage analytics to fix bugs and improve features
- Legal compliance — if required by law or court order
3. Data Storage & Security
All user data is stored on Google Firebase (Firestore database and Firebase Storage), hosted on Google Cloud servers. Data is:
- Encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS
- Encrypted at rest by Google Firebase
- Access-controlled — only you can read your own health records
- Backed up automatically by Firebase
Your scanned report images are processed by Google Gemini AI for analysis. Google's AI services process the data per their own privacy policy and do not use your health data to train their models under our enterprise agreement.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share data only in these limited cases:
- Healthcare providers — when you book an appointment, your name and phone number are shared with that doctor or lab only
- Google Firebase — our backend infrastructure provider (data processing agreement in place)
- Google Gemini AI — report images for AI analysis only
- Legal requirements — if required by Indian law, court order, or government authority
5. Your Rights
- Access — view all your data inside the app (Profile, Health Records, Scan History)
- Correction — edit your profile and health information at any time
- Deletion — delete individual records from the app, or request full account deletion by emailing us
- Data portability — request an export of your data by emailing us
- Withdraw consent — stop using the app and request data deletion at any time

6. Data Retention
- Your data is retained as long as your account is active
- If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days
- Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely
- Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days after deletion
7. Children's Privacy
Health Mind AI is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
8. Cookies & Tracking
The mobile app does not use cookies. Our website (healthmindai.in) may use basic analytics cookies to understand visitor traffic. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.
9. Third-Party Links
The app may link to external websites (e.g., doctor clinic websites). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites. Please review their policies independently.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you in the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
11. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the applicable Rules made thereunder. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
